I’ve often said that climate scientists are really weird people because we are the only scientists that wake up in the morning and hope that we are wrong.
This quote from Lesley Hughes (Professor of Biology Macquarie University and Climate Commissioner for the Australian Government) was part of an interesting debate called “Climate science: beyond party politics”.
It was broadcast on Saturday 8 June on The Science Show, a Radio National program hosted by Robin Williams.
The debate included some prominent scientists and, curiously, Don Burke who was host of the TV program Burke’s Backyard last broadcast in 2004. His presence added just a touch of weirdness to the proceedings.
